The Government has put Auckland back into level 3 lockdown and level 2 for the rest of the country from 11:59pm tonight (Feb 14 2021) for at least 3 days; until Wednesday 17 Feb 2021.
Level 3 means:
Only essential businesses and those which can operate in a non-contact way can open.
Stay at home and work remotely if possible
Schools and daycare only open for children of essential workers
Funerals & Weddings max 10 guests
Public venues closed
Travel restrictions
Level 2 means:
People can work
Gatherings max 100 people
Schools and daycares fine to open
Do you have to pay people for not working? Short answer is yes, unless you have pandemic or similar force majeure clauses in your Employment Agreements, we're waiting on word from the Government regarding subsidies for Auckland businesses.
