Daylight Saving time begins Sun Sept 26 2021

Daylight Saving time will begin again this month at 2am on Sunday 26th September. At that point the clocks get set forwards 1 hour to 3.00am.

Any staff working at that time basically work 1 hour less than what they need to be paid.

Daylight Saving lasts through to Sunday 3rd April 2022 back to NZ standard time. Early Sunday morning is always selected as the time to change since this should impact the fewest workers.

Daylight saving time was last reviewed in 2007 when it was generally to extend it by 1 week. There are no current plans to review this again.
